WOW! Where should I even begin? My entire experience with the Benjamin Eye Institute has been outstanding from the beginning to end.

My first appointment I came in, all my questions were answered, I met the actual doctor, and developed a great relationship with all the staff. They made me feel well-informed, safe, and cared for. They promptly answered any and all questions and kept a great line of communication open in the 3 months of research I did before deciding on a doctor.

I ended up choosing Benjamin Eye Institute, even at a little higher cost because I felt like they actually cared about me as a patient, and not just for the money they would receive for my procedure. The staff helped me with all my issues regarding payment and put my mind at ease regarding my first elective surgery.

The day of surgery went smoothly. I was seen about an hour after the scheduled surgery time but I think the doctor was held up taking care of an especially complicated case before mine. In any case, that shows how much they really care! They won't push people or do a job half-way just because of a time slot. Dr. Benjamin actually cares about his patients on a personal level.

Immediately after my surgery, I was a little woozy from the Xanax but I could tell that my vision was already better than it had ever been. The very next morning I was able to drive MYSELF to the follow up appointment and my vision has improved every single day since then. It has been almost 2 weeks and just the feeling of waking up and seeing everything cannot compare to anything else. It is like going from a regular TV to seeing everything in HD. AMAZING I would totally recommend Dr. Benjamin and his staff to anyone thinking about getting LASIK. My experience was outstanding from beginning to end and I would do it over again 100000 times.

I recently had Lasik surgery performed by Dr. Benjamin, and I am happy to report that I had a terrific experience from beginning to end. At the consultation, Dr. Benjamin and his staff were very friendly and answered all of my questions thoroughly. It was clear from the start that Dr. Benjamin is absolutely passionate about providing the best care and the best results for his patients. As if that isn't enough, he is completely personable and caring. I felt like I was the only one in the office every time I was there, and I bet all of his patients feel that way.

The procedure was very easy and by the next day I was seeing 20/20 in both eyes (in fact I am seeing 20/15 in my right eye and probably would be in my left as well but chose monovision). I still have a bit of a halo effect, but it has only been 10 days and I am told that it will go away almost completely. I have no doubt that I had the best care available. If you are interested in Lasik but are a bit nervous about having it done, I recommend meeting Dr. Benjamin!

I just want to say that I had my Lasik yesterday. I had been thinking about Lasik for a while and when I finally decided I would do it, I jumped at the opportunity for Dr. Benjamin and his staff to take care of my vision correction. I will say I was so scared during the procedure that I choked a stuffed dog to death, but no other practice could have gotten me on the table in the first place! This morning I had my follow-up and it was amazing to hear that I have 20/15 vision.

There were three reasons why I chose the Benjamin Eye Institute. First, I have friends who've had Lasik and Dr. Benjamin came recommended multiple times, even by people who chose other places to have Lasik done.

Second, when I went in, the staff was extremely professional and friendly. The lab tech was very nice and calming as she performed the preliminary tests for the doctor. While I was panicking inside, she reminded me that first I needed to be a candidate and second, the doctor was among the best. When I met with the Lasik coordinator, many of my fears washed away. She explained the procedure to me without any sales pressure and was so patient, I knew right away I'd be a fool to go anywhere else. She was honest with me every step of the way and it was like she read my mind as we discussed my fears. For my pre-visits and surgery, all of the assistants were amazingly friendly and professional. I honestly couldn't ask for more from a Lasik experience.

Third, Dr. Benjamin himself was nice and professional. He had a sense of humor to boot. He is very thorough and has a high success rate with these procedures because he doesn't gamble with the potential dangers. When he found scarring on my retina, he immediately helped me locate a professional to make sure it wouldn't impede the Lasik. Fortunately, it was nothing that could prevent me from having the surgery and luckily my health is fine, too. However, he gets kudos for checking and informing me of something that wasn't caught throughout my entire adult life and for being that cautious and honest.

If you are considering Lasik, Dr. Benjamin should be at the top of your list. Your eyes are very important and the last thing you want is to risk your vision by going to some place that sees you as a number and spits you out when you're done. The procedure for me was stressful and in hindsight, which is now 20/15, going with Dr. Benjamin and his staff was the best decision I could have made!

I have been seeing Dr. Arthur Benjamin off and on since about 2017 and before the covid epidemic. He takes my concerns very seriously, makes great referrals and has very competent, professional and caring support staff and technicians. I have severe open angle glaucoma and have particular sensitivity and side effect reactions to many common prescription drugs used for dilation and glaucoma pressure control. I, also, was having sensitivity to many of the OTC drugs used for dry eyes like the various artificial tears brands and really having problems with the OTC antihistamine eye drops for allergic rhinitis do to sensitivity to type 1 and 2 antihistamines. I never had a problem with him on this particular topic. He believed me within reason. This was a particular problem with some other very good eye MDs who were either not quite buying the sensitivity to so many drugs or did not have  time to help sort out the various drugs and different formulas which was kind of discouraging for me. Some of this trial and error was costly on a  limited budget He , also, made an excellent referral for what turned out to be gel stent surgery for my good eye. Thus controlling the excess pressure on the retina. He, actually, did a couple of SLTs with laser which does not always work and referred me to glaucoma specialist when necessary. Sometimes like many I actually have difficulty listening to what an MD is trying to tell me but he has had a way of letting me know I need to get a particular thing done based on his education, experience and latest research about what works. He still wants me to periodically check in with the glaucoma specialist because I have severe open angle angle glaucoma but it is ok to check back with him for any serious questions or concerns.Hopefully this has been helpful to anyone reading this. I'm glad he and his staff have been available.

I had Morpheus 8 done in this clinic with Alba, and I couldn’t be happier with how everything went! All the staff was very sweet and attentive, I felt taken care of, the procedure was not painful and Alba made sure to ask me if the strength was good for me and if I wasn’t in pain. The location is also amazing, right on the edge of Beverly Hills and West Hollywood, so it’s a nice neighborhood to walk in before/after your visit. ⭐️ My review of LASIK after one year ⭐️I told Dr. Benjamin I would do this a while ago, but I kind of feel like it says a lot I have kept this on my checklist for a year. I feel like a year is a good amount of time to review a procedure like this and give my honest thoughts and recommendation.So, let me tell you about my journey to getting LASIK and how I ended up in the amazing care of Dr. Benjamin. After going to an optometrist for years and him advising against LASIK because of my genetically dry eyes, I finally got a second opinion from an ophthalmologist (Dr. Benjamin). I didn’t know the difference between an optometrist vs. opthalmologist, but once I learned it kind of made sense why my optometrist didn’t want me getting LASIK lol. Because he couldn’t sell me on contact lenses or glasses for the foreseeable future if I got my vision corrected :) I mean, who knows, but I am glad I got a second opinion.I figured being in Los Angeles with some of the best doctors in the world… if anyone is going to touch my big, blue eyeballs, might as well get it done while I’m here. I found this business due to the reviews and they seemed to really know what they were doing and how to talk to clients.Upon meeting Dr. Benjamin he told me that I wasn’t a candidate for LASIK with my dry eyes, but he could put me through treatments for dry eyes and reevaluate after; and that these treatments had a good success rate for most.So, I started doing two treatments every other week for about 2.5 months - IPL laser treatment and Lipiflow. Lipiflow, especially, was a weird painless experience but highly recommend anyone with dry eyes to ask about it regardless of LASIK. I could tell my eyes felt way less dry a couple days after each treatment. There are videos on YouTube that talk about this treatment… Who knew this stuff existed. I’m not gonna lie, it’s an investment to do all these treatments on top of LASIK, but my eyes rarely feel dry anymore so if you’re going to get it done - do it right.Finally, I was approved for LASIK. I ended up waiting until the end of year to make sure I saved up the funds to do it and had some time to heal. I also took advantage of an end of year deal they were offering. $1000 off was a pretty nice forcing function to get me to finally do it after prepping my eyes with the treatments. The procedure itself I couldn’t feel anything even though I was awake the entire time (medicated). Even the scary part when bubbles form on your eyes Dr. Benjamin let me know about in advance so when it happened I just went with the flow. I think the worst part was the recovery the few days after and coming home drugged up lol. I remember day 1 thinking omg what did I do to my eyes. My eyes just hurt and felt weird, but omg I could see 20/15 immediately. And then, day by day it gradually got better. It took a few weeks for my eyes to heal, but after 1 month you couldn’t even tell I had surgery. One eye was a bit more bloodshot than the other.I can see 20/15. It’s been life changing for the past year not having to worry about contacts or glasses. I just got married and was able to walk down the aisle with clear vision. I only wish I had the means to have done this earlier in life. If you’re considering it - do it! And definitely consider Dr. Benjamin to do it right.Lastly, to continue treating my dry eyes, Dr. Benjamin gave me an extra LipiFlow treatment, and also recommended I try punctal plugs (painless plugs inserted into your lids that help your tears last longer). He placed the plugs in my eyes under 5 mins. Wild.I heard from people during the LASIK process they have been nervous to get the procedure so I wrote this to help and because I think highly of this business for changing my life. And, some of the dry eye treatments I would’ve never known about had it not been for them. Again, I wish I would have had been able to do this years ago. It is so, so worth it!Thank you, Dr. Benjamin (and staff!)

In quick time I received both sage advice and a same day appointment. Hi all! 06/06/2024 I came to the office of Dr. with a problem in my right eye. Benjamin, I'm sorry...as a very nice girl from the office, Masha, told me, he was undergoing surgery.  She advised me to come urgently in the morning. I suffered from pain for 4 days, my eye was very swollen, red and itchy. 07/06/2024 after examining me Dr. Benjamin made an emergency decision to remove the pus in his right eye. The small operation lasted 10 minutes, Dr. Benjamin and Dr. Svetlana masterfully removed the pus. My torment is finally over! Thank you to the entire team at Benjamin Eye Institute. Been going to Dr B for nearly a decade after trying many other eye doctors in LA.  Beyond solving my chronic dry eye and being the most knowledgeable, he is an all-around great guy and spends time educating. The staff is wonderful as well.

That was until I was referred to Dr Benjamin by a new optometrist.From booking my consultation to my 3 month post-op appt today, the entire staff has been incredibly friendly and helpful every step. The entire process was thoroughly explained, making sure I always knew what to expect along throughout my experience. Pre-op was a breeze and I knew exactly what to expect when going in for my procedure. The actual day went as smoothly as possible. Even on the day of the procedure, the person picking me got caught in traffic and then accidentally went to the wrong address but the front desk staff stayed late and even walked me down to the car to make sure everything was fine.Highly recommend Dr Benjamin if you’re considering LASIK!

Dr Benjamin and Alba were great. He is very professional, kind and with clear explanations. I had an eyelid quick surgery and I’m just missing the glasses prescription, I left the office and forgot to ask for it. But he and his team were amazing!

They move you along gently into all of these different tests which could be uncomfortable but they make it so easy. LASIK Eye Surgery- The short is go see Dr. Benjamin!I visited Dr. Benjamin Eye Institute after deciding I wanted to learn more about Lasik eye surgery and what the process would look like. I stare at computer screens for very long periods of time so I was nervous to make this life change but ready to ditch my glasses for good! The entire team from day 1 of my consultation made me feel very comfortable. The office is clean the staff are extremely welcoming, friendly and all took the time to answer any questions I had about the procedure - which was very quick and painless the day of. They also have awesome social content for educational purposes and just to make you laugh!I am about a month post procedure and it has been life changing and a freedom restored. Great staff, great doctors, excellent ophthalmologists and assistants. The optical department for where you get glasses is very good. You may pay a little more, but you get excellent service, both at the optical boutique, and of course with your exam.They have the most advanced equipment in the industry. And the optician knows what she's doing. Overall, I really like this place and will continue to have them examine my eyes and purchase Glasses there. Dr. Benjamin is the best, and very knowledgeable and caring. Rina also takes good care of your needs. And explains procedures very well. Finally the front desk staff is extremely helpful and also caring. It is a great experience to make sure your eyes and vision are taken care of.
