If you've ever dreamed of life unencumbered by the daily frustrations of glasses or contact lenses, LASIK could be your answer. With the advent of all-laser LASIK, the procedure is now even more precise, safer, and customizable than ever before. Yet, LASIK is not the ideal solution for everyone.
To assess your suitability for LASIK, a comprehensive evaluation with our esteemed surgeon, Dr. Arthur Benjamin, is essential. During your initial visit, our expert LASIK team, including our skilled technicians and Dr. Benjamin himself, will provide personalized evaluation and guidance.
PREPARING FOR YOUR CONSULTATION:
To optimize your consultation, please arrive with your contact lenses removed and glasses worn instead. If you don't own a pair of glasses, arriving in your contacts is fine. You can remove them once you're at our office. We can provide a lens case or you're welcome to bring your own.
We encourage you to prepare a list of questions for Dr. Benjamin. Informed discussions will contribute to your comfort and understanding of the procedure, easing any possible apprehensions. At Benjamin Eye Institute, we aim for you to feel secure, informed, and at ease at all stages of your journey.
WHAT TO BRING:
Please bring any past and present glasses with you. These will help us gauge the stability of your vision over time by comparing the prescription of your different glasses.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Our complimentary LASIK consultation encompasses visual and diagnostic testing, a detailed eye examination by Dr. Benjamin, and an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of LASIK and your unique vision correction requirements. Expect the consultation to last approximately 60 minutes, possibly longer, depending on the extent of discussion. We value the importance of this life-changing decision and do not rush the consultation process. Rest assured, this in-depth consultation carries no obligation or charge.
During your consultation, we conduct a variety of diagnostic tests, including:
- Refraction: Prescription check
- Corneal Topography: Check for astigmatism, keratoconus, and corneal scarring
- Corneal Tomography: Examination of your cornea's front and back surfaces
- Pachymetry: Measurement of corneal thickness
- Pupilometry: Determination of pupil size
Upon completion of these tests, you will meet with Dr. Benjamin, who will interpret the results and explain your treatment options. You will also meet a LASIK Coordinator to discuss financing options and help you schedule your procedure if you decide to proceed.
LASIK SURGERY IN LOS ANGELES:
