
On August 10th Benjamin Eye Institute hosted a Continuing Medical Education event.
Dr. Benjamin presented a course titled "Modern Cataract Surgery, a 2011 Clinical Update" for doctors of optometry. Discussion topics included laser cataract surgery, surgical techniques and breakthroughs in presbyopia correction. Following Dr. Benjamin, Dr. Colin McCannell, a UCLA retina specialist, made a presentation about EMR (Electronic Medical Records) options and its benefits for a modern optometric practice. The evening was concluded with a dinner-discussion at the Soho House across the street from the Benjamin Eye Institute.
