Your Free LASIK Consultation

LASIK is a great way for people to see life without the demands of glasses or the annoyance of contact lenses . Now with the advancement of all laser LASIK the procedure is even more precise and customizable. However, not everyone is a great LASIK candidate.
 
In order to determine your LASIK candidacy it is important to have a thorough evaluation. During your initial visit with us, you will be personally evaluated and counseled by our LASIK team which includes: one of our knowledgable technicians, our refractive coordinator, Mayka, and, most importantly, Dr. Arthur Benjamin himself.
 
How to Prepare:
 
If you are a regular contact lens wearer please come with your contact lenses out and wear your glasses instead. If you do not have a pair of glasses,  come in your contacts.  You will be able to remove them in the office.  You may bring a lens case or we can provide one for you.
 
What to bring:
 
Bring any old and current glasses that you may have with you.  By comparing your glasses power with  your current prescription we will get an idea of how stable your vision has been over the years.
 
What to Expect:
 
During your complimentary consultation certain diagnostic tests are performed which include:
 
  • Refraction: prescription check
  • Corneal Topography: check for astigmatism, keratoconus, and corneal scarring
  • Corneal Tomography to examine the front as well as the back surfaces of your cornea
  • Pachymetry: determines the thickness of the cornea
  • Pupilometry: determines the size of your pupil
  • After these tests have been performed, you will meet with Dr. Benjamin who will assess the results and present the options to you.  You will also meet with Mayka, our LASIK coordinator who can explain financing options and help you book your procedure if you choose to move ahead at this time.
 
The entire consultation process will take about an hour.  There is no obligation and no fee for the LASIK consultation.
